Flag Retirement Program

On June 20th, 2025, Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes announced its flag retirement program, an initiative aimed at honoring both veterans who have passed and American flags no longer fit for display.

Webb & Stephens placed a donation bin for these flags at their location on 39 North in Meridian, MS. The Boy Scouts of America Choctaw Area Council agreed to support the program and allowed a bin to be placed at their office location on 8th Street in Meridian.  We are truly grateful for their participation.

At Webb & Stephens, we believe it is our sacred duty to honor the immense sacrifices made by our veterans and to show profound respect to our service members and the country they defend.  As part of our commitment to service and patriotism, we are deeply grateful to the members of our community who entrust us with their worn American flags.  By bringing us flags that are tattered, faded, or no longer fit for display, you allow us to ensure they are retired in the most dignified, proper, and honorable manner possible—often in a cremation ceremony for a fellow veteran or a structured retirement ceremony—upholding the high respect our national symbol deserves.
