Velma May

Mrs. Velma L. May, 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 6, with her daughters by her side.

Velma spent most of her life in Meridian, Mississippi and was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her siblings and her son, Steven W. May, Velma is survived by her husband, George C. May, her daughters, Katherine Uhl of Savannah, Georgia, Cynthia Burt of Meridian, Mississippi, grandchildren Brian May, Heather Burt Lewis, Corey Burt, Brooke Burt, Kelsey Uhl, and Jacob Uhl, and great- grandchildren Layton Lewis, Owen Lewis, Paisley Smyth and Jozlynn Burt.

Visitation will be held at Webb & Stephens Downtown Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. ~ 12:00 P.M. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. Interment will be in Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.
