Graveside services for Mrs. Louise Ellis McRae will be held Thursday at 1pm at Meridian Memorial Park.

Mrs. McRae,99, was born in Meridian and left earth to be with family and our Lord Jesus on Tuesday, June 7th. She was a graduate of St Aloysius High School in 1940. During WW2, she was the only supply clerk for the Army Air Corp from 1941 to 1946, at Key Field. She worked in the Birmingham Social Security district office, till her retirement 1980, then moved back to Meridian. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert S McRae Jr.; her mom and dad John and Ethel Ellis Sr., father and Mother-law Herbert and Allie McRae Sr.; son, Jeff S. McRae; daughter Barbara Ann McRae, and grandson Brandon McRae. She leaves behind her sons, John McRae, Joe McRae (Harriette), two granddaughters Crystal Holms(Jim), Kelsey Marek (Craig), and seven great grand’s, Boston, Caroline, Chandler, Braegan, Blake, Lily, and Rose.
In lieu of flowers, you’d have her heart to give to St, Jude’s, Shriners, or American Children’s Hospitals.
