Lena Smith

Lena Mae Smith, 78, of Meridian, MS passed away at her home on January 14, 2022.

Lena is preceded in death by her husband James Smith.

She is survived by four children; Gail Null (Bobby), Kay Mitchell, Laneece Morgan (Gus) and Steve Smith; loving grandchildren Ed Breland (Brandy), Jamie Miller (Zach), Bobby Null (Hayley), Madison Bond (Zach), William Morgan, Dalton Smith, Zack Smith, along with ten Great Grandchildren.

She is also survived by her extended family Tommy and Perian Miller, Liz Burnham (Roy) and Faye Kelly along with numerous other close family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Lena will grandly be remembered for her giving nature to others, Lena shared with everyone her motherly love, and tried to never let anyone feel like a stranger or go away hungry.

Her greatest passion in life was her family, cooking large meals, and baking cakes to be shared with family, friends and even strangers she would meet along her way. Lena was truly a giver of all she had in this world and never expected anything in return.

Her family asks that in memory of Miss. Lena, that you continue her sharing and giving nature with those in your path. Cook a warm meal or bake a cake to share with someone unexpectedly, and think of her and how “Lena would love this.”
