Gerald Mckinney

A graveside service for Mr. Gerald Edward McKinney will be held Friday, July 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Old Marion Cemetery with Bro. Mike McKee officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown is honored to be trusted with arrangements.

Mr. McKinney, 71, of West Point, passed away July 25, 2022, at his residence.

Gerald attended Meridian High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army with a rank of SP4, where he was honorably discharged. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed squirrel and deer hunting, as well as catfishing. Most of all, he adored his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Deborah McKinney; children, Jacob McKinney (Brittany) and Sarah Hall (Lance), both of Steens, MS; grandchildren, Ambree and Waylen McKinney and Nathan and Haley Hall, all of Steens, MS; brothers, Billy McKinney(Caroline) of Albuquerque, NM and Jerry McKinney of Temple, TX; and sisters, Jennie Duck(Roy) of Amarillo, TX and Peggy Thompson(John) of Tampa FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, E.L. and Doris McKinney; brother, James McKinney; and sister, Mary Swain.
