William Snowden

A Graveside Service for William “Eddie” Snowden will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home Downtown has been entrusted with his services.

Eddie Snowden, 71, passed away December 23, 2021 at Anderson's Regional Medical Center. Born in 1950 to William "Bill" & Cleo Fitzgerald Snowden, Eddie graduated Hickory High School in 1968. After high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. After leaving the Marines, Eddie worked as a boilermaker until retirement.

Eddie married in 1975, when he became a father to his oldest Fred Reynolds. His son Jeremy came along less than 2 years later. Eddie was a Masonic member of Mellen Lodge and a member of Eastern Star of Chunky. He remarried in 2010 to Elayne McCans.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Snowden and Fred Reynolds and his grandchildren James Snowden, Christian Reynolds, Gavin Reynolds, Emerald Rodriguez, and daughter-in-law Marti Snowden.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Cleo, his brother Larry, and his wife Elayne.
