Obituary

William Marion “Buddy” Ishee, 93, of Collinsville, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Buddy was born April 1, 1933, in Chunky, Mississippi, to Will Ishee and Juttie Lee Buckley Ishee. He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy and later worked as a quality inspector in the manufacturing industry.

A God-fearing man, Buddy was known for being hardworking, funny, social, and straightforward. He freely spoke his mind, and those who knew him always knew exactly where he stood. Buddy especially loved traveling with his wife, Bessie. Together, they journeyed across the United States on their Gold Wing motorcycle with a small camper in tow, then transitioned to travel full time in their RV. They created many cherished memories along the way. Of all the places they visited, Colorado remained their favorite.

Buddy is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Bessie Ishee; son, Doug Ishee and his wife, Wendy; grandchildren, Deedee McCormick and her husband, Todd, Jennifer Whitt, Johnathan Ishee, Alexa Hughes and her husband, Brock, and Kaitlyn Bonner and her husband, Blake; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Bonis; and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Juttie Lee Ishee, and his sister, Mary Crouch.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, with Bro. Gunner Applebee officiating.

Pallbearers will be Nickalas McCormick, Christopher McCormick, Brock Hughes, Blake Bonner, and Johnathan Ishee.
