William "Bill" Edwin Voelz Jr.

Mr. Voelz, 76, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Ochsner Rush Hospital.

Bill was born in Hattiesburg, MS to William Voelz Sr. and Lydia Voelz. He graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1966. He was employed with MDOT and worked as a security guard at the MS Welcome Center in Toomsuba. He worked at Sara Lee Bakery for six years and Southern Printing for eight years.

He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed building model airplanes. He was also a certified fitness trainer and power weightlifter.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Reecie Hale Voelz; and his stepchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
