Willard H. Osborne

Willard H. Osborne, beloved father, grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 80.

Willard dedicated his life to serving his country and others. He spent 21 years in the United States Navy, serving with distinction and pride, and was honorably discharged after a career marked by commitment and integrity. After his military service, he continued his dedication to the nation as a Department of Defense civilian for another 21 years, before retiring. Throughout both careers, he exemplified loyalty, duty, and compassion.

A man of deep kindness and unwavering generosity, Willard was known for helping anyone in need. He saw the good in people even when it wasn’t always returned, never expecting more than simple kindness. His quiet strength, sense of fairness, and gentle heart left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Willard leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his daughter, Tonya Ellison and her husband Christopher Ellison; his grandchildren Tristin Ellison and Peyton Ellison; his sons, Larry Osborne and Joseph Osborne; his grandson, Larry Osborne Jr.; and his granddaughter, Katelynn Osborne.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Osborne, and his daughters, Theresa Lois Osborne and Tammy Lynn Gerzsenye.

His legacy of service, compassion, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and all those he touched throughout his life.

A graveside memorial service to honor and celebrate Willard’s life will be held on June 14, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens beginning at 11:00am.
