Waudine Hodgins

Services for Waudine Dean Threatt Hodgins, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Wayne Hunt and Jimmy Townsend officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church in Collinsville. Mrs. Hodgins died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Hilltop Manor in Union. She was a beloved Nana and mother to all. Mrs. Hodgins was a friend to all she met and enjoyed sharing her love for the Lord through testimony and singing. She traveled throughout the South with her gospel group, The Neighbors. Mrs. Hodgins loved volunteering and was an active member of the Collinsville Homemakers Club. Survivors include her daughters: Georga Hodgins Hunt and her husband, Tommy, of Collinsville, Barbara Moore and her husband, Robert, of Newton, and Bettye Clark, of Decatur, Ala.; grandchildren, Ethan and Malorie Hunt, Terry Hunt and his wife, Leah, Angela Glebe and her husband, Brian, of Meridian, Ana Moore, Kala Moore, Michelle Tucker and her husband, Ricky, of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Preston Moore, Kara and Kylea Tucker; stepgreat- grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Glebe, Jon Allen, Ashlynn and Ana Hunt; brother, Malcolm Threatt and his wife, Evelyn, of Marion; sisters, Linda Jayroe and her husband, Tony, of Philadelphia, and Cookie Hendon and her husband, Rodney, of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her lifelong friends includeMajorie Lockey, Amanda Stewart, Emma Smith and Mary Lou Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George K. Hodgins; her parents, Robert and Clara Threatt; and her sister, Elaine Branning. Pallbearers include her nephews: Victor Threatt, Lashley Threatt, Wynn Threatt, Sean Jayroe, Buddy Sturm, Richard McDonald; brother-in-law, Tony Jayroe; and grandson, Terry Hunt. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Lee McDonald and Ben McDonald; and her grandson, Ethan Hunt. Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to Hilltop Manor Activities Fund, Attention-Carolyn Robinson, Union.
