Services for Mr. Walter Lee Powell Sr. will be held at a later date.

Mr. Powell, 82, of Enterprise passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Walter served in the United States Navy for 2 years. He retired from the Meridian Fire Department as Captain after 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ouida Powell; children, Walter Powell Jr. and Lisa Marie Duncan (Steve); grandchildren, Samantha Powell, Kaleigh Weems, Alyssa Storey, and Chap Duncan; several great grandchildren; and sisters, Polly Moore and Josephine Brewer.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Linda Kay Powell; parents, Earl and Marie Powell; and siblings, Earl Powell Jr. and Mary Edna Boyette.
