Virginia "Ginger" Minchew

Services for Virginia “Ginger” Michelle Davidson Minchew will be held Friday, December 24, 2021, 10:00 a.m., at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Hutchinson officiating. Webb and Stephens Downtown is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Minchew, 55, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Michael Minchew; sons, Trey Minchew and Alec Minchew (Jerra Smith); grandchildren, Emerson Minchew and Bronson Sapelin; sister, Debbie Joiner; niece, Lani Joiner; nephew, Tommy Joiner; sisters-in-law, Chris Dawson (Roy), Lisa Robinson (Dewayne), Latishia Scribner, and Angie Minchew; brothers-in-law, Gary Minchew (Mitzi) and Jody Minchew (Donna); and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by several adopted kids, Chase Latting, Sacho Regala, and Michael James; and numerous special sisters, Marie Blackburn, Marlene Kimbrell (David), Jennifer Craft, Mindy Flores, and Stacy Walls.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvel and Helen Davidson; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Susie Allen; paternal grandparents, Robert and Lucy Davidson; brothers-in-law, Leroy Joiner, Jamie Minchew, and Johnny Scribner; and cousin, Ronnie Davidson.

Pallbearers will include Tim Davidson, Tim Davidson Jr., Austin Robinson, Wesley Robinson, Buddy Pickard, and Ty Clark.

Honorary Pallbearers will include Chase Latting, Austin Kimbrell, Dalton Davidson, Sacho Regala, Michael James, and Brandon Davidson.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Webb and Stephens Funeral Home Downton.
