Timothy Wayne Montalvo II

A celebration of life for Timothy Montalvo will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Samuel Harris officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held Tuesday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi.

Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Timothy, 39, left us on October 30 at UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Timothy was born the oldest of three children to Timothy and Loretta Sue Montalvo on July 22, 1984, in Portsmouth, Ohio. Shortly after, the family moved to the Mohican area where he attended Black River high school and played basketball. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served his country faithfully and honorably.

Timothy’s love for his family and his community was apparent, as he could always be found supporting his children in their events, or volunteering to help the community any way he could. His loving and giving spirit will live on in those that had the privilege of knowing him and sharing his brief life.

Left to cherish Timothy’s memory are his devoted wife, Sireana; his precious children, Bryce, Sam Murion, Xaiver, Mathias, Skylon, Timothy III and Ezekiel; parents, Timothy and Loretta Sue Montalvo, Sr.; siblings, Natasha Marie Montalvo (Isaiah) and Eric Matthew Montalvo (Hilary); nieces, Nevaeh, Mika and Kaydance, Aeralina Rain, Anniston Sue and nephew, Indy Bear.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Harold and Valerie Jean McGowan, and his aunt, Teresa Ann McGowan.
