Terry Lewis Smith

Graveside Services for Terry Lewis Smith, Sr., will be held on Monday, May 11th, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, with Rev. Donald Gentry officiating the service.

Terry Lewis Smith, Sr. was born to Louise and Irvin Smith on May 12, 1952, in Meridian, MS. Terry passed away at his home on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Terry spent his life enjoying the outdoors, never missing an opportunity to hunt, fish, and enjoy the catch.

Terry retired from the Army Reserves after over 20 years of service and went to work at May Webb Hosiery in 1970 until its closing in 1994. He then began working at Machine Works for a few years before going into pest control. He finished his career as a security guard and retired in 2020.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Irvin Smith, Benjamin Morris Jenkins, and Elsie Louise Smith Jenkins; his sister, Charlotte Ann Smith Price; and his twin brother, Jerry Lee Smith.

Terry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Gail Reid Smith (Dothan, AL); his loving children, Wendy Lynn Smith Romano (Jim) of Dothan, AL and Terry Lewis Smith, Jr. (Maria Sheba Rosaldo) of Kuwait; his grandchildren, Ashley (Corey) Nickerson of Wiggins, MS, Hannah (Tristen) Hall of Dothan, AL, Brittany Smith (Matthew Pulley) of Dickson, TN, and Natalie Smith of Dothan, AL; his great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Christian, Hudson, and Tripp; his lifelong best friend, Frank Jenkins of Macon, MS; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, friends, and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Terry's honor to either the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, a charity of your choice, or for a tree to be planted in his honor.
