Shirley Byrne

Funeral services for Shirley Lucille Byrne will be Monday, October 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – North. Rev. Trevor Gore and Rev. Jack Kern will be officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 – 1:00. Burial will be at Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Byrne, 81, passed away peacefully, at her home, Friday morning.

Mrs. Byrne is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack; her 5 grandchildren Rhiannon Floyd, Tony Ware, Lindsay Foreman, Whitney Carter, and Paige Rawson; 13 great grandchildren; a sister Betty Bradley along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Horace and Lucille Linton; a son Harold L. Ware Jr. a daughter Cathy Darlene Floyd and 2 grandchildren Devan Hopkins and Madelyn Rawson.

Shirley worked as a secretary for Farm Bureau insurance, she also worked for over 20 years at St. Louis Scrap and Metal as a bookkeeper. She was active in her church, Spring Hill United Methodist Church, until her health wouldn’t allow to attend anymore. She loved singing Gospel music and sang in the Linton Family trio.
