Sherill "Grammy" Easterling

October 3, 1946 — January 2, 2026

Sherill Easterling was born to James and Jimmy Hodges on October 3rd, 1946, in Mississippi. She passed away on January 2nd, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the only girl out of five brothers but never let that get in her way. She made sure the boys were in line when they began to act up.

Sherill was lovingly called Grammy and always made sure to give that love back to her family. She loved her family dearly and always wanted to make her family laugh, but she also enjoyed being the center of attention.

Grammy was the grandmother to her whole family no matter who you were; you were her grandchild, and she kept her family together. She enjoyed life and was always lively.

She enjoyed the card game, Push, as well as Dominoes. One thing she loved more than that was listening to music; she especially enjoyed Worship music, old country music, and loved Dolly Parton. One of her favorite songs was Chainbreaker.

She also was a faithful daughter of God and would often watch online services.

Above all, Grammy just wanted her family to be happy and was there for her family anytime they needed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James M and Jimmy Hodges; brothers, Don Hodges, Danny Hodges and Dwight Hodges; and her loving husband Jerry L Easterling.

Grammy is survived by her daughter, Brandi Wallace; Grandchildren, Lesleigh Wallace, Cale Wallace (Angelina), Anna Wallace, Lila Blue Sutton, and Olivia Layne Hodges; Brothers, Larry Hodges and David Hodges (Peggy); and Nephews, Rickey Hodges, Brad Hodges, Josh Hodges, Travis Hodges.

The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North is grateful for the opportunity to honor Grammy’s life and memory and to serve her loving family during this time.
