Sheila Marie Luke

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and sister, Sheila Marie Weir Luke. Sheila, 73, passed from this life on the evening of Monday, December 1, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Hospital.

Sheila was born to Jack Demspy Weir and Burnise Obera (Moseley) Weir on August 9, 1952, in Meridian, MS. She was a vibrant and positive woman who touched countless lives. She was an avid animal lover. Sheila will be remembered for being the type of person you could always count on and to always lend a helpful hand to any person or animal in need.

Sheila is survived by her three beloved sons, Benton Ray Chapman (Rhonda), Gregory Shawn Luke (Tracy), and Clinton Ashley Luke (Leann); her five grandchildren, Trey Chapman, Clinton Ashley Luke, Jr., Madison Luke, Laina Michelle Bass, and Alyssa Leigh Downing; her devoted siblings, Patricia Ann Nause (Pete), Ronald Eugene Weir, Arnold Lamar Weir, Peggy Elaine Weir, Jack Dale Weir (Lacrisha), and Samantha Ann Weir-Cipriano; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack D. and Burnise O. Weir; her brother, Jack David Weir; and her beloved grandson, Christopher Shawn Luke.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life gathering at a later date to commemorate Sheila’s life.
