Samuel "Sammy" Wade Daniels

Samuel Wade Daniels, 61, of Bailey, passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Baptist Anderson Hospital.

Samuel, lovingly known as Sammy, was born to Jessie Daniels and Mattie Turner Hall on May 27, 1965, in Meridian. A mechanic by trade, he enjoyed working on cars and bringing the old engines back to life. Among all the vehicles he restored, none held a more special place in his heart than his prized 1969 red Camaro. When he wasn’t under the hood of a car, he could be found by the water, casting a line and enjoying his lifelong love of fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Ty Daniels (Carlie); his mother, Mattie Hall; three sisters; his granddaughter, Violette Daniels; and his beloved canine companions, Lil Ray and Reno; along with a host of nieces and nephews

Sammy was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Daniels, and his sister, Gloria Kinard.

A private family ceremony will take place at a later date.
