Roy Mcallister

Services will be held for Roy McAllister on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Chapel with the Revs. Raymon Leake, Matt Snowden officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. McAllister, 91, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Regency Hospice. He was retired from Barrett Nunnery Hardware. Mr McAllister was a member of First Baptist Church of Meridian. He was a veteran of WWII, where he served as a navigator in the Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McAllister, sons, Roy J. McAllister III and wife Carolyn of Columbus, James T. McAllister of Meridian, grandchildren, Carla Barr and husband Tommy of Calera, AL, Roy J. McAllister IV and wife, Stephanie of Atlanta, GA, Crystal McAllister of Meridian, Thompson McAllister of Meridian, great grand-children, Brandon Barr, and Alysa McAllister. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Adrian McAllister and 3 brothers, Roland, Johnny, and Jimmy McAllister. Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. - 7p.m. at funeral home. Pallbearers will be Rhen Pierce, Jack Johnson, Mike Covert, Owen Jones, Butch Gibson, Tommy Spears, Gary Wilkerson, and Donald Hall. BR
