Graveside services for Mr. Robert Lee Walston Jr. will be held at a later date in Warsaw, VA, at Welcome Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – Dekalb has been entrusted with his arrangements.

Mr. Walston, 97 years young, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at his residence, in Dekalb, MS. Mr. Walston was a proud World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy. During his retirement years, he enjoyed sitting outside in his chair watching his chickens. He loved his family but was especially fond of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Mary Lynn Edger (Randy), Glen Scott, Robert Walston III, Caroline Barrett (Jay), Cathy McCollom (David), John Walston (Betty), William Walston (Joyce), and Norma Tucker (Richard); 25 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters Azalee Watson and Evelyn Edgerton (Jimmy), and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lucas Lamm; his father Robert Lee Walston Sr., his wife June Walston; his daughter Elizabeth Shields; his son James Earl Walston, along with 1 sister and 7 brothers.
