A celebration of life will be held on July 4th, 2026, at Northpointe Presbyterian Church, at 11:00 AM, with Doc. Bob Schwennebeck officiating the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Robert Howard Secrest was born on October 8, 1963, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Howard Graham Secrest, Jr., and Carolyn Ann Secrest. He passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi.

Bobby loved the Lord and often studied his Bible. He would occasionally preach in Baton Rouge, LA.

Known to family and friends as Bobby, he embodied the spirit of a true country boy. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of country life, including hunting, mud riding, and fishing. Those who knew him often joked that he could catch every fish in the water. Bobby loved spending time outdoors and created many cherished memories with family and friends through the activities he enjoyed most.

Bobby also dedicated many years of his career to working as a welder at Capital Fleet Topside Repair in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

He is survived by his loving parents, Howard Graham Secrest, Jr., and Carolyn Ann Secrest; his sons, Jessie James Secrest and his wife, Rebecca; Douglas Graham Secrest and his wife, Amanda; and Jacob Howard Secrest and his wife, Kacie; his siblings, Cynthia Wilkerson and her husband, Tom; Michelle Ayers and her husband, Michael; and Bruce Secrest and his wife, Ronda; as well as numerous other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Bobby’s honor.
