Robert Jones

Robert Maurice Jones passed early morning of May 10, 2023. A family/friends burial service will be held at  Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery  Sunday, May 14th at 2:00.

A Mississippi native, Robert was born in Whynot in 1938. He was a hard worker, wore a smile daily, and laughter was his enduring trait. Known in Meridian as a steadfast walker who sported the Coach Bear Bryant hat, his endless footprints are left on the town's sidewalks.

He is survived by his four children: Crystal ,Phillip, Michael, Robert Jr.; sisters: Barbara Creekmore, Sybil McCain, Bessie Perry, Margaret Patrick; brother Tom Jones (numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews).

He is preceded in death by his wife Judy Jones, parents Ernest Fleming Jones and Janie Louise Boswell; sisters: Edna Mae Walker, Mary Monsour, Sarah Trainham;  brothers: Bill, Jimmy “Jim Bob”. ; half- siblings: Mattie Culpepper, Roscoe, Gordan, Lee, Julian, Harvey, Coleman Jones.

Robert will always remain in our memories and has reunited with his preceding family.
