Services for Rickey Ethridge will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown with Dr. David Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Memorial Park. Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes are honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Ethridge, 62, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his residence.
Rickey was a man full of faith, his favorite phrase being “God’s got me”. He attended Highland Baptist Church and was an active member of the congregation, even singing with the choir. He never complained and considered each day a gift. Rickey touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sister, Jan Olson (Doug); brother, Tony Ethridge (Bonnie); nephews, Tyler and Tyson Ethridge; great nephew, Aldon Brand; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends, Robert and Lynn Compton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John L. Ethridge and Leola J. Edwards; and siblings, Hollis Mathis, Bubba Ethridge, and Don Edwards.
Pallbearers will include Dale Galdon, Robert Compton, Tony Ethridge, Chris Thompson, Asher Tilghman, and Doug Olson with Lynn Compton and Shaun Olson serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Robert and Lynn Compton, who helped take care of Rickey and were truly great friends to him.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
