Ralph Newell

Graveside services for Ralph E. Newell will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 10 am at Magnolia Cemetery. Brother Chuck Overby will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.

Mr. Newell, 92, of Meridian, MS, died Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Lakeside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Quitman, MS. He was an owner and operator of a vending machine and amusement business. Ralph had a heart of gold, loved his vending machines and his dogs, and never met a stranger.

Mr. Newell is survived by his sister in laws: Betty W. Newell, Irene Newell, Pat Newell, and Jeanette Newell; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs Prissy and Radar.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Smith Newell; his parents James Ebbie and Lottie Kinard Newell and his siblings Joe Sam Newell, Leroy Newell, Rudy Newell, John L. Newell, Harold Newell, Mary Ann Pope, Evelyn Null, James Newell, Leon Newell, Blanche White, Ray Newell, and Hazel Newell.
