Funeral Services for Ralph Henson will be held 11:00 a.m. 2008, at Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian with Rev. Beverly Henson, Dr. Rick Henson, Dr. Ralph Henson, Dr. Malcom Lewis officiatingl. Burial will follow at Semmes Cemetery in Meridian. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, June 22, 2008 p.m. from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Meridian, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, at Northcrest Baptist Church.

Mr. Henson, 75 died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Anderson Hospital of complications of Acute Myologenous Leukemia. He was a Captain in the Meridian Fire Department. he and his wife, Barbara Henson have owned Barbara Henson's daycare and SwimGym since 1964, He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, He loved Jesus, was a strong Christian who led many people to the Lord, and was member of Life Baptist Church.

Known to the family as Grandaddy, Mr. Henson was a joy to all who knew him. Always happy and kind, he spread love and energy to everyone he met. He and his wife, Barbara worked for years on the bus ministry and childrens church at State Boulevard Baptist Church in Meridian. They also worked a puppet campground ministry for seven years at Oaktibbee Reservoir in Meridian, where they gave many people an oppurtunity to hear God's Word.

He is survived by the love of his life and bride of fiftyseven years, Barbara Henson;a brother, David Henson; a brother, David Henson with his wife, Barbara; daughter, Beverlyt Ann Henson; sons, Rich Henson with his wife, Christy of Meridian; one grandson, ben of Meridan; three grandaughters, Rebekah Williams with her husband, Nick of Frisko, TX, and Rachel Maske with her husband, one great granddaughter, Ruthie katherine Williams of Stonewall; numerous nieces and nephews ; and his father, D.C. Henson.

The family requests that instead of flowers contributions be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, a group that brings Jewish people from Russia to their homeland in Israel. Please be sure to sign our guestbook.
