Services for Onie Lee Brown will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North with Bro. Virgil Walters officiating. A private family interment will follow at Brown Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown, 95, of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Athens, Al.

Onie was strong willed, independent, and hard working. She worked at her family’s grocery store, Brown’s Grocery, into her 80’s. She adored flowers, birds, and her dogs. However, her greatest joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched.

She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Minyard (Edward); daughters-in-law, Jenny Brown and Kim Brown; grandsons, Aaron Brown, Jamie Brown (Melissa), Chris Brown, Marshall Brown (Brelanne), and Wade Minyard (Kelli); granddaughters, Dana Yates and Aimee Carpenter (Cliff); 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and cousins, Nelda Dearman, Peggy Grace, and Dot Hoffer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arnold Brown Sr.; daughter, Phyllis Pickard; sons, Clifton Brown and Charles “Peck” Brown; great grandson, Cody Brown; great great grandson, Greyson Cooper; parents Lamar Price and Ruby Watson; stepfather, Romain Watson; three sisters; and a brother.

Pallbearers will include Aaron Brown, Jamie Brown, Wade Minyard, Chris Brown, Marshall Brown, and Mike Arias.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
