Obituary

A visitation for Boots, will be held at Mt Horeb Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, beginning at 10:00 until 10:45. Funeral services will follow beginning at 11 with a burial following in the church cemetery.

Ocelia “Boots” E Wiggins was born to Donny and Rebbeca on, March 14th, 1928, in Vidalia Georgia. Boots passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31st, 2026, in Meridian, MS.

Boots had lived at Bedford nursing home where she made many friends including a very special friend, Billie, who would spend all day in her room with her from dusk to dawn. The nursing home also made sure to always take her places.

Boots was also well known for her delicious, homemade, Fried Apple Pies. Not only did she make them, but everyone around town also knew she made the best ones. Boots also enjoyed hobbies such as cross stitching, sewing, and crocheting.

Boots loved to go places and even drove her car until she was 90 years old. She would often travel or go shopping. One of the many places she enjoyed shopping at was antique shops, one of her favorites being 2nd Chance. She couldn’t sit still and was always wanting to do something

Boots is preceded in death by her parents, Donny Evans and Rebecaa Smith, her husband, Carl Dean Wiggins, and her sons, Dennis Ray and Carl Wayne Wiggins.

Boots is survived by her loving and special friend, Dorothy Vance (Mike); her Daughter-in-law, Patt Wiggins; her Daughter-in-love, Glenda Wilson; Grandchildren, Holly B Wiggins, Amy Thomas, Carl Edward Graham (Ashley) and Robbye Spangler; her special cousin, Canary Royal; her cherished church family of Mt Horeb Baptist Church; and numerous Great Grandchildren
