Nita Slaton

Funeral services for Ms. Nita Rigdon Slaton will be Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 11:00, at Stephens Funeral Home in Dekalb, MS. Ms. Slaton, 89, of Porterville, MS passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at Rush Hospital.

She is survived by her son Bobby Slaton; a niece Maxine Puckett, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Luther Slaton and two stepchildren Kent Martin Slaton and Pat Slaton.

Ms. Slaton was a good housewife, a good mother, and a fantastic cook. She was a hard-working woman who, at one time, served in the Women’s Corp of The United States Army as a Captain.
