    Mary Jane Arledge, 84, of Meridian, passed away peacefully the early morning hours of Monday, August 19, 2024, at James T. Champion Nursing Facility. 

     Mary Jane was born to Earl Jackson and Jeanette (Chisolm) Jordan in Collinsville, MS on December 3, 1939. Mary Jane worked for many years at Lockheed-Martin, until retiring. She loved to watch basketball and baseball, with the Celtics being one of her favorite teams. Mary Jane and her husband, Jimmy, grew vegetable gardens through the years and even tended a tomato stand in their front yard for many years. Mary Jane was also known for being a wonderful cook and was famous for her chicken and dumplings. She loved her nieces and nephews has her own children and loved them each dearly.

     Mary Jane is survived by her niece, Julie Jordan; nephews, William Jordan and Roger Jordan; great nieces, Ashley Kelly (Ryan), Haley Jordan, Mallory Hardy, Sarah Jordan; great-great nieces and nephews, Jordan & Jackson Kelly, Brooklyn, Brady & Mary Jane Jordan.

     Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Jackson and Jeanette Jordan; her husband, Jimmy Arledge; brother, Bud Jordan; and her nephew, Earl Al Jordan.

     Mary Jane was laid to her eternal rest beside the love of her life, Jimmy, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Meridian, Mississippi.
