A private memorial service for Louis Marshall Hoidahl will be held at a later date. Mr. Hoidahl, 82, died Sunday, August 4 at Diversicare Nursing Home. Stephens Funeral Home is handling his arrangements.
Mr. Hoidahl was retired from Cookbook Bakery in Chicago, Illinois where he was a truck driver. After moving to Mississippi, he started his own carpet cleaning business, Hoidahl’s Carpet Cleaning, and later a car dealership in Collinsville, L & M Auto Sales.
He is survived by his wife Marie Hoidahl; his daughters Debbie Williamson (Tom), Marsha Stellos, and Dana Garvin (Barry); his grandchildren Derrick Kilgore (Kristy), Tyler Hall (Kaylynn), and Autum Garvin; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister Anita Spooner (Em); and a brother Dennis Hoidahl (Mary). He was preceded in death by his parents Waldemar and Anita Hoidahl.
