Linda Joyce Smith

     Linda Joyce Smith, 63, of Meridian, passed away March 14, 2024, at Ochsner Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.

     Linda was born on September 28, 1960, to parents Howard and Evelyn (Rutherford) Smith in Lauderdale County.  Her sisters recall how she was a “firecracker” of a baby sister.  She loved the ocean, her Jehovah, her family, and animals.

    She is survived by her sisters, Kay McDowell and Janet Kendall; four nephews; one niece; one great-niece and great-nephew; and three very special golden retrievers, Sasha, Sadie, and Oriel.

     Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Josh McDowell.  

     Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North, located at 7774 Hwy 39 N Meridian, MS.  

     Graveside Service for Linda will be held at 11:30 AM at Meridian Memorial Park on Old Highway 80 W in Meridian, with Bro. Brandon Gordon officiating.
