Lila Turner Steed
Graveside services for Mrs. Lila Turner Steed will be held Monday at 11 am at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dale Moore officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Steed, 94, of Meridian, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Bedford Care Center in Marion. She was a longtime member of Hawkins Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne Harrison and Barbara S. Royal; grandchildren, Skipper Harrison, Cecile Wallace, Brent Harrison, Barbi Gathright, Renee Slaydon, Jay Steed, Lee Ann Barley, and Paije Siever; 15 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Clennie Turner; husband, John A. Steed; son, Johnny L. Steed; sister, Jewell Massey; brother, James Turner; granddaughter, Margie Reed; and one great great grandson.
