Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lauren Nichole Wells, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at 5:59 A.M., at the age of 43.

Born in Meridian, Mississippi, Lauren's life was shaped by her own experiences, relationships, and journey. She leaves behind family members and others whose lives intersected with hers, each carrying their own memories of her. Her passing marks the closing of one chapter and the beginning of a time of remembrance for those who knew her. She will be remembered in different ways by the people whose lives she touched.

Lauren enjoyed life and enjoyed many things. She enjoyed playing cards, and watching shows such as Young Sheldon, Big Bang Theory, Miss Hattie, Love Thy neighbor (Madea), and she especially enjoyed court shows, it didn’t matter which ones, she enjoyed all of them. She loved her family dearly and cherished the times they could travel together. She was very fond of country music and dancing. Among her favorite music to listen to were John Deere Green by Joe Diffe and Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood. Her favorite foods were Mac and Cheese, but it had to be from Chic-Fil-A.

Lauren always wanted to make sure she was dressed as the beautiful lady she was. She aimed to consistently have her hair, makeup, and nail done perfectly. Her favorite nails to have were French Tips Nails. She made sure to keep a theme with her nails for every holiday, like orange for Halloween and red and green Christmas. She took pleasure in owning many types of purses and shoes.

Lauren will always be known as a hard worker. She worked at the Shoe Department in the mall for many years. Where she dedicated many hours of dedicated customer service, with a smile always on her face.

Lauren was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Arlyn Wells; her paternal uncle, Wayne Wells; her maternal grandparents, Linda Gail McCraw and Lewis Harrell McCraw Jr.; and her maternal uncle, Lewis Harrell McCraw III.

Lauren is survived by best friend and lifelong companion of 17 years, Terrence Moore; her daughter, Marissa Walley and husband, Clynt Walley, and their children, Hayden and Brooks Walley; her sons, Tyler Hines, Thomas Murr, and Tyran Moore; her mother, Lisa McCraw Kondziela and husband, Bob Kondziela; her father, Carl Wells and wife, Lisa Wells; her brothers, Sam Wells and wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Connor and Carter, and Drew Wells and wife, Sara; her aunt, Brandy McCraw Dearman and husband, Sammy; her cousins, Bethany Dearman Smith and husband, Brian Smith, and their children, Blaine, Brooklyn, and Brett, and Jesse Dearman Falgout and husband, Mason, and their child, Shiloh; along with many other extended family members and friends.

Lauren's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May those who mourn her find comfort in the memories they shared and strength in one another during this difficult time.

A memorial gathering will be held at Webbs & Stephens Funeral Home - North on Thursday, July 30th between the hours of 10 A.M. and 12 P.M.
