Kelly Nicole Gray, 44, of Meridian, passed away at her home on Monday, February 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Kelly was born to Jerry Dell and Melvin Ann (Fontan) Brand on April 23, 1981, in Lauderdale County.

Kelly, lovingly known as “KK”, was a woman of fierce love and sassy spirit, a force of nature with a heart large enough to embrace everyone she met. She lived for her family, standing as the unbreakable glue that held them together. Her life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her husband, Jimmy―the love for her son. As the ultimate ‘daddy’s girl’, she was a bright light in their world, always placing the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Jimmy Chester Gray; her son, Legand Dakota Benton; her mother, Melvin Ann “Tootie” Brand; her sister, Rhonda Doerner; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Dell Brand; her brothers, William Jones and Jeremy Brand; her sister, Angela Secrist; and her nephew, Joshua Secrist.

A Memorial Service honoring Kelly's life will be held at a later date.
