Judith Elaine Gunn Pogue

Services for Judith Elaine Gunn Pogue will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North with Bro. Allan W. Singletary officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Memorial Park. Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes are honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Pogue, 75, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Baptist Anderson’s Hospital.

Elaine graduated from Meridian High School in 1968. Post graduation, she attended Meridian Community College, formerly Meridian Junior College, receiving her certification in computer science. She was a faithful member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she served in many capacities including pianist, organist, choir director, treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and church elder. Her church was very important to her and prior to her illness, she received her 29th perfect attendance pin, never missing a Sunday. Elaine served as an auditor for Trustmark Bank, formerly First United Bank, for 13 years. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted wife, daughter, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Sammy Pogue; sisters-in-law, Patricia Gibson and Janice Holladay; numerous nieces and nephews; cousin, Jim Snowden; and her church family.

She is preceded in death by her parent, Randolph and Lottie Ardith Baker Gunn.

Pallbearers will include Robert Holladay, Jason Holladay, Deiter Gibson, Derek Gibson, Landon Gibson, and Garrett Gibson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elaine’s name.

A visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
