J.P. Dean

Graveside services for Mr. J.P. Dean will be held Thursday at 2pm at Stonewall Cemetery.

Mr. Dean, 94, formerly of Meridian, passed away at Jeff Anderson Regional Hospital - South Campus.

He was retired from Mitchell Distributing as a route salesman after 31 years.

He was a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church. Mr. Dean was also a longtime member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his daughter Linda Mena and husband Joseph; sister Betty Louise Witt; grandson Jonathan Mena and great grandson Izic Mena.

Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents John and Virgil Dean; wife Doris Dean; brothers James Dean, Billy Jack Dean and Othell Dean: sister Beatrice Dean and granddaughter Deanna Mena.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Stonewall United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
