Joseph Roy St. Romain, Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as Roy, peacefully passed away on October 2, 2026. Born on December 17, 1945, Roy lived a full and meaningful life centered around devotion to his family and the simple pleasures that brought him joy.
Roy was a deeply loving husband to his cherished wife, Larrie Ann St. Romain, with whom he shared 60 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and mutual devotion. He was also a proud and loving father to their only son, Steve, who brought immense pride to his life.
A man of simple and enduring passions, Roy loved nothing more than cooking a good meal, watching his favorite Westerns, and gathering with those he loved. He was a proud family man and a genuinely great uncle, treasured by his numerous nieces and nephews. Above all else, the time he spent creating memories with his family was what he valued most.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Larrie Ann St. Romain; his son, Steve St. Romain; his brother, Benny St. Romain; and a large, loving circle of numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Roy St. Romain, Sr. and Mary Edith St. Romain; his brother, Vick St. Romain; and his sister, Angelina Louise.
His warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Roy’s life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Josh Beckman officiating the service. The family will welcome friends during visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Roy will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
