Services for Johnnie E. Shurley will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Webb Chapel with Bro. Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Shurley, 85, of Meridian, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at Bedford Care Center in Marion. He was a longtime member of Oakland Heights Masonic Lodge #577.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Long Shurley; sons, Don McKinnon and wife Noelle, and Phillip Gates; 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters; 3 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter; and his sister, Ann Neely.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Velma, Georgia, Catherine, Betty, and Elizabeth; a twin brother, Lonnie; brother, James; and an infant Brother.

Visitation will be Friday from 12-1 pm at the funeral home.
