John Walker

John, often known as "Johnny" grew up in Meridian, MS, the son of Wilma and Lanier Walker. He attended Meridian High School and served his country in the Air Force, at home and overseas, before returning to Meridian to begin his career.

John was a professional photographer who worked for The Meridian Star. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a skilled marksman. He enjoyed cooking and collecting historical military relics.

John was close to his older brother, Walter, and was married to Belinda Townsend, a Psychometrist for Lauderdale County public schools. She preceded him in death.
