A memorial service for Leslie will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at Webb and Stephens Funeral Home-North, at 3:00 PM, with Bro. Chuck Overby officiating,

Joan Leslie Jenkins was born on April 9th, 1946, to Lesley Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins, in Meridian, MS. Leslie passed away peacefully at North Pointe, on June 13th, 2026.

Leslie was well known for her art. She did most anything, from paintings and calligraphy. She even did photography and even painted a picture for the 1986, Miss America, Susan Akin Lynch, that was to be put on a Billboard. She even made the logo for Southern Business Supply that is still being used to this day. She is also remembered for making the CheatSheet, for Meridian Underground Music. She then retired from Luke Printing after many years of Graphic Designing.

Leslie loved creating things, but there was nothing she loved more than her nieces and nephews. She would always be found with a camera at family events, making sure someone was taking photos of the memories to look back on.

Leslie also had a fulfilled heart of Jesus and loved him Dearly.

Leslie is preceded in death by her parents, Lesley Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins, sisters, Junice Mitchell, Jean Kinard and Ann Plowman.

Leslie is survived by her sisters, Carol Killam, Faye Ethridge (Thomas); Her loving great nephew, Jacob Overby; her cherished niece Tammy Anderson; her beloved dog, Toby and her precious cat, Rose; and many other numerous Nieces and Nephews.
