Jerry William Harwell was born to Bill and Abbie Harwell on July 24th, 1941, in Laurel, MS. Jerry passed away at his home on April 8th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry met his soulmate Linda Crumby and married her in 1965. Linda and Jerry Harwell were married for 60 years. They loved each other dearly and were truly a match made in Heaven. They will always remember the camping trips they went on at least twice a year.
Jerry was a bookbinder for 40 years working at Dement Printing Company, in Meridian MS. He enjoyed bookbinding so much that when he retired, he began his own Bible Bookbinding business. He was known all over the United States for his skills in bookbinding Bibles.
Jerry was a devoted member of Pine Forest Baptist Church for 35 years. He was even a Deacon and dearly loved his church. Jerry had a heart of gold and was always there to help people anytime they needed it.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Abbie Harwell, and his daughter Regina Lynell Sonak.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Harwell; his son Steven Harwell (Kristen); brother Darrell (Judy); his grandchildren, Hunter Harwell (Kaylyana), Holden Harwell, Hayden Harwell, Cameron Sonak, Joshua Sonak; his great grandchildren, Taylor Sonak and Mason Tickle; and nieces, Lisa Arendell and Monica Aiken.
Services will be Monday, April 13th, 2026, at Pine Forest Baptist Church of Collinsville, MS, with a visitation beginning at 10:30, with a funeral service beginning at 12, with burial in the church cemetery to follow. Brother Andy May and Brother Clay Pope will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pine Forest Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, Paralyzed Veterans of America, The Gideons International, or St Jude Children’s Hospital.
