Glenn Alan Little went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 18, 2026, at his home near Meridian, Mississippi.

A longtime resident of Rankin County, Glenn was born on June 13, 1957, in Burundi, Africa, where his parents served as Christian missionaries through World Gospel Mission, with support from the Congregational Methodist Mission Board. Growing up on the mission field had a tremendous impact on his life, and he loved sharing stories of his adventures and the many ways he had witnessed God's faithfulness throughout those years.

He graduated from Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, Kenya, as a member of the class of 1975. He attended Wesley College in Florence, Mississippi. It was there that he met the love of his life, Janice Musgrove. They were married on December 31, 1977.

Glenn worked in a number of professions, but for most of his life, he provided for his family through the construction trades and as an independent general contractor. His skill and talent as a craftsman provided an outlet for his love of wood and woodworking. Later, he worked at Jackson Stone Company, where he discovered a new love for manufactured stone.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Janice (Musgrove) Little; his son, Dustin, and his wife, Marian Little; daughter Jennifer and her husband, Trent Watson; daughter Lacy and her husband, Timothy Fikes; grandchildren Acadia and her husband, Taylor Northcutt; Christian Hales; Benjamin, Chase, and Reed Fikes; and Robert Alan Little; step-grandchildren Hannah and Josh Watson; and one great-granddaughter, Eleanor Mae Northcutt, along with many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Gene Little, and his brothers, Bruce, Kerry, Gerald, and Eldon (Donnie).

Glenn led a life that exemplified a Christ-like, self-sacrificing love and devotion that extended beyond his family and close friends to acquaintances and, often enough, total strangers in need. His impact can be seen through the countless church-building and mission projects in which he was involved.

He was a conversationalist and a joke teller. He loved good-humored picking (his love language) and was an avid, if not frustrated, gardener. He had an appreciation for literature and novels and could often be found with a Louis L'Amour book nearby.

Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served Him faithfully to his last breath.

His memorial service date and time remain to be determined. The service is expected to take place in mid-October, and details will be updated here once they are finalized.
