Allen Gage passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian, Mississippi.

Allen was born on December 15, 1946, in Holmes County, Mississippi, to Myrtle Christine McBride and William Lester Gage. Known affectionately as Allen or Al, he was a man whose quiet strength, curiosity, and humor touched many people throughout his life. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Engineering and went on to build a fulfilling career with numerus companies, lastly with Solar Group, from which he later retired.

A LIFE OF SERVICE Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army stationed overseas in Germany. His military service was one of the many ways he demonstrated his sense of duty, responsibility, and commitment to something greater than himself.

A PASSIONATE SPIRIT Allen had a genuine love for sports and spent many years coaching youth leagues. For him, coaching was about far more than winning games. He believed in teaching young people how to become better not only as athletes, but as people.

AN AVID HUNTER Allen was an avid hunter who found a special kind of peace in the outdoors. He treasured the quiet of the woods, the anticipation of the hunt, and, perhaps most of all, the stories and memories made along the way.

A GIFTED MUSICAL SOUL Allen also had a gift for music. He loved playing his guitar for family and friends, often bringing a smile, a story, and a song to the room. Music was one of the ways he connected with the people around him, and the sound of his guitar will remain a cherished memory for those fortunate enough to have heard him play.

He is survived by his son, Rookie (Ana Maria) Gage, and daughter, Farrah (Scott) Sinclair; and his grandchildren, Mia Gage, Creed Sinclair, Asher Sinclair, Nicholas Musso, and Griffin Musso.

Allen is also survived by his siblings, Jeanette Humphrey, Mary (Herman) Smith, Susie Campbell, and Jim (Holly) Gage, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a family connected by shared history, childhood memories, stories, and a lifetime of experiences. Each carries a piece of his story forward.

REMEMBERED WITH LOVE Allen will be deeply missed by his family, extended family, lifelong friends and all who knew him. While his absence will be felt, so too will his presence remain—in a familiar song, a story told around a table, a quiet morning outdoors, a baseball field, and in the lives of the people he helped shape.
