Gary Evans

Gary Newton Evans, 64, passed away February 5, 2021 in Meridian, Mississippi. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stephens Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.

Gary was a cooker, and not only did he love it, he was very good at it. He also enjoyed working puzzles and fishing in his free time. He worked in the construction trade with sheet metal and welding. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son Joseph Christopher Morris; brother Dennis Evans (Ann) and sisters Jolanda Oglesby (Tim), Jill Lathem (Joe), Joy Akin (Bruce); grandchildren, Grayson Morris, Hunter Morris, Breanna Evans, Gregory Evans, Garrett Evans and a very special stepdaughter Amy Kugler along with his two special nephews Jon Abston and Justin Abston.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Gladys Evans, son Greg Evans and brother David Evans.
