A private graveside service will be held for Faye Carol Dennis Poe, age 90, who passed away peacefully at her home in Meridian on October 27, 2025.

Faye was born on August 11, 1935, in Meridian, MS to Russell Dennis and Helen VanDevender Dennis. Faye was widowed at the young age of 30 and spent her life working hard and providing a wonderful life for her three children. The majority of her career she spent working for Kemp, Springer, & Associates as well as Carter Engineering in Meridian. She also worked at night at Stephens Funeral Home as the visitation hostess for many years. After her retirement, she returned to work at Highland Baptist Child Development Center where she worked well into her 80’s and was known and loved by many children and families. She was a faithful member of Highland Baptist Church all of her life, having taught ladies Sunday School for many years as well as serving in other various capacities until her health no longer permitted her to do so.

Faye was the beloved matriarch of her immediate and extended family. She was always the life of the party and provided those around her with stories and memories that will be shared for years to come. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, enjoyed working in her yard, and loved a good road trip!
