Faye Brewer

Graveside services for Mrs. Faye Brewer will be Monday, August 30, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2021, from 2 until 4 at Stephens Funeral Home.  Mrs. Brewer, 94, died Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Bedford Care Center of Marion.

Mrs. Faye loved working in her yard and reading.  Her husband was retired military from the United States Navy. They settled in the Meridian area where she worked at the Navy Exchange until her retirement. The main reason she retired was because she loved her grandchildren and wanted to be able to spend more time with them and her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Pritchett; 4 grandchildren Lisa Shelton (David), Michelle Dixon (William) of Dekalb, Tammy Caldwell (Johnnie) of Maryland, and Justin Pritchett (Ashley); 6 great grandchildren Brittany Godwin, Rachel Shirley, Corey Fleming, and Hailey, Tyler, and Jacob Caldwell as well as 6 great-great grandchildren Maverick, Ford and Ledger Godwin, Parker and Carter Pritchett and Ella Boswell.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Brewer, her parents Vada and Roy Hopkins, along with her two brothers R.S. Hopkins and J. O. Hopkins.
