Fairie Houston

Fairie Jean Houston, 87, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home in Collinsville, MS. The family will have a private memorial service later. Barham Funeral Home-Forest Lawn Chapel is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Houston was a longtime cake maker and decorator, operating out of her home in Collinsville. She was well renowned in the cake decorating business and was the past president of the Mississippi Cake Decorators Association. She and her late husband, Max Lamar Houston, used to love traveling to cake conventions where celebrities would line up to have their picture made with her.

She is survived by her two sons, Keith Houston (Denise) and Ricky Houston (Linda); a nephew Alan Harwell; grandchildren Scott Houston, Amy Bramlett (Jon), Megan Brokop (Steven), and Catie Houston; along with several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lorima and Martie Harwell; her husband Max Lamar Houston; and a brother Art Harwell.
