A graveside service for Evelyn E. Miles will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes are honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Miles, 89, of Meridian, passed away peacefully Friday, February 20, 2026, at her residence.

Evelyn was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family, raising her five boys with love and understanding. She adored her grandchildren and they had a very special place in her heart. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her sons, James H. Miles III, Richard E. “Geno” Miles (Tammy H.), Charles Ray Miles, and George Wallace Miles; grandchildren, Crystal Gayle Miles Tindle (Eric), James Lance Miles (April), Valeri Miles, Audrey Miles Bobbit, Richard “Dylan” Miles (Kelsey), Jacob Adam Miles, and Bethany Grace Miles; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Dottie Ponds (Mike); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. “Jimmy” Miles Jr.; son, Morris Wayne Miles; parents, Morris Vaughan, and Nadine Moore Vaughan Taylor; and brother Hubert Vaughan.
