Memorial Services for Elvin Rogers will be held at a later date. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Rogers, 75, of Collins, formerly of Meridian, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Rogers was a local builder in Meridian for many years.

He is survived by his former wife, Joyce Rogers of Meridian daughter, Melanie Rogers Clark of Asheville, North Carolina son, Elvin Kyle Rogers of Meridian a sister, Earline Abrams and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer Rogers, Jr., Edsel Rogers, Earl Rogers, and Erbert Rogers and his sisters, Evelin Sollie and Effie Shirley.
