He was a regular blood donor for many years, a faithful member of St. John’s Lodge #507 of the Masonic Lodge. He received his 50-year pin in 2017 and was always the coffee maker at their meetings. He was also known as the "Candy Man" at church because he always had mints he would give out.

Glenn is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Wilda; a brother Buddy Gibson (Sara); nephews Bryant Gibson (Tammie), Marty Gibson (Wanda), and Ben Gibson; Nieces Melanie Roberts (Larry) and Gwen Hatcher (Chase), Nicole Gibson as special grand-niece along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
